Haiku of Missing You

Heavy lids closing
weighed down by nostalgic tears,
just to dream of you.

When you were still here
your poems wove into mine
just as our lips did.

A lump in my throat,
though I’ll forever wish it
instead in my womb.

Funny how each song
rings and tickles in my ears
whispering your name.

Still six months after-
you watching stars and naming
kids we’ll never have.
