The Politics of Poetry

We call it entertainment,
ladies in brassieres,
men with shirts pulled tight.
We call it an education,
white men with novels,
political words to write.
We call it nourishment,
food with advertisements,
sure, it tastes alright.
Quite often I wonder
how we sleep at night.
