Swimming in Acrylic

Push the brush to the page,
Drag, curve, smash, and twirl it.
Dance with it on the clean white
Of the fresh canvas.
Choose a tube and coax out colors.
Blend them on the table.
Your arms are coated, soaked,
The air smells the color of the sea.
Blur and shape the hues to waves,
Splash in in the paint as you would the water.
You can taste the seawater.
Or is it the acrylic?

An imitation of a Kinkade painting on a large ceiling tile.
